摘　　要：Shuigou (GV 26) is also called Renzhong,locating in the philtrum, the junction of the superior 1/3 andthe middle1/3.It is often applied to treat the acute diseases and symptoms.With regard to acute lumbar sprain and acute rigid neck, Shuigou (GV 26) functions to relax the musclesand tendons and benefit the spinal column.It is said in Ode of the Essentials of Unerstanding (Tong XuanZhi Yao Fu):'Shuigou (GV 26) relieves the stiffness and pain of the spinal column and erector muscle ofspine.'It is said in Songs of the Jade Dragon (Yu Long Fu):'For stiffness and pain of spine and back,Shuigou （GV 26） is also called Renzhong, locating in the philtrum, the junction of the superior 1/3 and the middlel/3. It is often applied to treat the acute diseases and symptoms. With regard to acute lumbar sprain and acute rigid neck, Shuigou （GV 26） functions to relax the muscles and tendons and benefit the spinal column. It is said in Ode of the Essentials of Unerstanding （Tong Xuan Zhi Yao Fu）：＂ Shuigou （GV 26） relieves the stiffness and pain of the spinal column and erector muscle of spine.＂ It is said in Songs of the Jade Dragon （Yu Long Fu）： ＂For stiffness and pain of spine and back, reduce Shuigou （GV 26）, which is also suitable to treat sprain and backache.＂
