摘　　要：今年是毛泽东提出"搞新闻工作,要政治家办报"五十周年。从历史发展视域看,新闻"政治家办报"理念,不但高度契合了中国新闻事业史宏大叙事主脉,而且更是深度揭示了新闻传播的进化逻辑与价值"共识"。本文首先追溯了中西方,尤其中国"政治家办报"的历史源流,继而分析了毛泽东"政治家办报"观的历史背景与科学内涵,最后尝试性探讨了政治家办报的现实挑战与逻辑归宿,并认为恪守公共利益,担承社会良心,推动历史进步是其可持续合法生存的神圣使命。50 years have been past since Mao Zedong's statement of 1959 that the newspaper should run by the politician. From the perspective of historical development,this idea not only reflects the theme of Chinese journalism,but the evolution of the press law and its value of 'consensus.' However,with the advent of consumerism and the rise of multi-cultural values,the idea is plagued by misunderstanding and challenges,therefore,it is necessary to trace its historical development,to analyze its real meaning,and to find its future end-result. This article traces the historical origins of the idea that newspapers should run by politician in China,and analyses the historical background and the scientific content of Mao Zedong's version of the idea. The article concludes that to uphold the public interest,social conscience and the history progress can grant the idea's continued legitimate status.
