摘　　要：文章根据中国国情延伸了生态保险的概念,拓宽了其适用范围,归纳了其特点,简述了其发展进程。从构建和谐社会、生态安全、生态经济风险管理、促进我国责任保险业发展几个方面讨论了开展生态保险的目的、作用和意义。This paper extended the concept of ecological insurance according to the Situation of Chinese, broadens it to apply scope and induced its 9 characters. It gives a simple explanation of its development in this paper. The essay sets up the demand of harmony society, ecological safety, the ecological insurance is the valid method of the eco-economic risk management, starts ecological insurance business will change our country insurance industry abnormal development of structure and form, a few of aspects have discussed and analyzed purpose, function and meaning of the ecological insurance.
