英语专业四级口试的效度研究

摘　　要：本研究通过收集内容相关性与标准关联性两方面的证据,检验了2007年全国英语专业四级口语测试的效度。就内容相关性证据而言,三项口试任务符合《大纲》要求,具有交际价值;三项任务之间的相关系数中度偏强,但因子分析结果表明三项任务仍旧是3个独立因子;就标准关联性而言,某重点高校62名英语专业学生2007年的口试成绩能够解释其当年四级笔试成绩中58.5%的差异性。依据这两方面的证据,可以断定2007年全国英语专业四级口试具有较高的效度。This study validated TEM 4-Oral in 2007 based on the evidence of content relevance and criterion-relatedness. Two pieces of evidence related to content relevance were collected. The first piece is that the three oral tasks do have communicative values and fit the requirements in the syllabus. The second piece is that although there is a moderate correlation between every two tasks of the three, the three tasks are independent factors as indicated by the result of factor analysis. To obtain the evidence of criterionrelatedness, multiple-regression analysis was employed to find out to what extent the performance on the three oral tasks can predict the scores on the TEM 4 （written）. The results show that the scores on TEM 4-Oral by 62 English majors from one key national university in 2007 can explain 58. 5% variance of their scores on TEM 4 in the same year. Considering the two types of evidence listed above, we may conclude that TEM 4-Oral in 2007 is of high validity.
