摘　　要：本文从科学文化和人文文化两个不同角度探讨中国电视栏目名称所折射出的文化内涵,通过试译或改译对其英译和英译技巧进行探讨,以期译文既能再现其主题思想又能传递原文的文化信息,使译语受众了解和接受中国文化,促进中国电视对外宣传和中国文化的有效传播。This paper, from the scientific and humanistic perspectives, explores the cultural dimensions reflected in Chinese TV program titles and exemplifies some applicable C-E translation techniques in tentative translations or improved ones. It aims at conveying their themes and cultural flavors in the source language, helping the Eng- lish audience learn about the Chinese culture, and promoting China＇ s TV international publicity and China＇ s cultural transmission.
