摘 要:语言学习中,联系文化学习语言这一观点已为人们普遍接受。脱离特定文化背景的语言是不存在的。要想真正掌握英语,我们必须探索产生与使用这种语言的特定社会文化背景。说到数字,世界各国民族都有自己的数字文化,由于受民族心理、宗教信仰、语言崇拜、审美观念和地域等因素的影响,数字被赋予了各种神秘的褒贬凶吉和象征意义,从而形成各自独特的数字崇拜或禁忌文化,反映出不同民族不同的文化心理。从宗教神话、隐喻含义差异、历史文化价值观和谐音、谐义等方面剖析了形成中英数字文化差异的不同原因。The viewpoint to study language by relating the culture has been universally accepted in the study of language. The language that has nothing to do with its specific cultural background doesn't exist. In order to master English well, we must probe the specific social cultural background that produces and uses the language. Speaking of figures, there are their own figures cultures in every nation of the world. Figures have all kinds of magic symbolic meanings because they are affected by different national psychology, religions belief, language admiration, aesthetic conceptions and district distinction. So they form distinctive figure admired or forbidden culture, which reflect different cultural psychologies in different nations. This paper will analyze the difference of figures between Chinese and English from religious belief, metaphorical implication, cultural history value and homonym.
