摘  要:以现代信息技术为支撑的大学英语网络教学模式已成必然趋势。“硬件”的大量投资和“软件”的优化建设为网络英语教学提供了丰富的物质资源,可是使这些软硬件资源充分发挥效能、促使英语课程和现代化网络技术有机整合的关键因素是教师,而大学英语教学教师的信息素养更是关键中的关键,是网络英语教学“人件”建设的核心。Web-based College English Instruction, supported by modern information technology has already been a trend. It is a fact that considerable investment on hardware and software has provided a rich material supply for the new mode. Nevertheless, the key factor which makes best use of the cost-consuming hardware and software, effectively in- tegrating modern technology into course instruction is none other than the teacher. Above all, teacher'~ information litera- cy is the key among the keys and the core of humanware construction in the course of web-based college English instruc- tion. Only with the improvement of teachers' information literacy can hardware and software bring out the desirable effects and ultimately better serve education reform.
