摘　　要：现代大学文科建设应该是由学科体系、科研体系、教学体系以及就业保障体系组成的有机统一体。理工科高校的文科有别于综合性大学,应该依托理工背景,着力办有鲜明特色并与自身学科基础结合紧密的文科。各理工科高校应该根据自身在全国高校结构体系中的地位,找准自己的文科发展定位,在人才培养和就业上下功夫,着力发挥理工优势,打造特色文科品牌。Liberal arts construction in modern universities should be an organic integration of discipline system, research system, teaching system and employment guarantee system. Different from those in comprehensive universities, liberal arts in polytechnic universities should develop liberal arts with distinctive characteristics and with close tie to their own discipline foundation, relying on engineering backgrounds. Meanwhile, considering its status in higher education system in China, each polytechnic university should precisely locate the orientation of its development of the liberal arts, dedicating itself to talent-training and employment, sharpening its competitive edge as engineering university and forging the distinctive brand of liberal arts.
