摘　　要：胡适倡导的以语言变革为核心任务的文学革命促进了中国文学和文化的现代转型,但学界对其语言观念的研究至今仍然不够充分和深入,大多只是把它作为文学研究的一个附件进行简略评述。本文主要从语言的认识论、进化的语言史观、国语体系的确立和白话文的西化特征等四个方面对胡适的基本语言观进行解读和审视,重新评价他在现代汉语国语(普通话)标准确立过程中的历史贡献以及在中国现代语言学史上的历史功绩。The literary movement that Hu Shi upholds,with its central task of linguistic transformation, quickens and enhances the modern transformation of Chinese literature and cutlure. Howevern, the scholarship on the Hu Shi＇s conception of language lacks sufficiency and depth as most scholars approach it as an accessary to hteray studies. This article attempts to interprete and examine Hu Shi＇s linguistic conceptions from the perspectives of linguistic cognitivism, linguistic historicism, the establishement of national language and the Westernization of Baihuawen and to reevaluate his contribution to the standardization of modem Chinese （mandarin）
