摘　　要：论述了环境应力筛选(ESS)的概念、方法和性质,指出目前人们对ESS存在3个认识上的误区,强调科学、准确地理解ESS的重要性。并分析了ESS实施过程中应当注意的一些问题,以此保证ESS的实施效果。The concept, methodology and nature of Environmental Stress Screening （ESS） were presented. The three misunderstandings about ESS at present were discussed with emphasis on the importance of understanding ESS scientifically and correctly. Some problems occured during the application of ESS were analyzed to ensure effectiveness of ESS.
