从比较文学形象学角度看电影《大地》对中国农民的描述

摘　　要：该文以比较文学异域形象学理论为依据,把电影《大地》放置于中国历史语境和西方文化语境中加以考察,依次分析影片对主人公土地情怀的展现、对东方异国情调的描述、对部分人物形象的刻画、对西方先进技术的运用和中国革命的讲述,深入认识这部电影对中国这一他者"形象"的展示,从而探析该影片折射出的美国社会文化心理和需求。Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer＇s film ＂Good Earth＂, which is adapted from Pearl S＂ Buck＇s homonymous novel, tells of a beautiful story of Chinese industrious farmers, and has been playing an important role in western viewer＇s understanding of the image of China. This paper attempts at analyzing the image of China in the film from perspectives of protagonists＇ deep connection to earth, the oriental atmosphere, the portrayal of less important characters, the description of Western technology and Chinese revolution so as to set a tentative exploration of the American viewers＇ native culture, self-identity and psychological need.
