追寻迷失的自我——《乞力马扎罗山的雪》之原型解读

摘　　要：《乞力马扎罗山的雪》是厄内斯特·海明威著名的短篇小说之一,反映了战后"迷惘一代"的生存状况和他们的精神状态,并揭示了哈里等一批青年知识分子对生存的困惑以及他们不断追寻探索生命的意义。本文主从原型批评的角度对《乞力马扎罗山的雪》主人公哈里的追寻情节结构及文中典型意象进行分析以揭示出战争给人们留下的心灵创伤以及他们对迷失的自我的追寻。The Snows of Kilimanjaro, one of the famous short stories by Ernest Hemingway, reflects the living conditions and mental states of the ＂Lost Generation＂ and reveals their puzzlement about existence and the constant quest for the meaning of life. This paper will analyze the ＂quest＂ plot and some typical images in The Snows of Kilimanjaro from the perspective of archetype to show the post-war trauma experienced by people and their quest for the lost selves.
