摘　　要：建设社会主义新农村，将成为21世纪中国社会深刻的历史变革。实现这样的变革，呼唤农村人的全面发展包括农民道德素质的提升。在新农村建设中，要求塑造农民爱国爱乡、遵纪守法，崇尚科学、言行文明，勤劳致富、诚实守信，珍惜耕地、保护环境，勤俭节约、合理消费，尊老爱幼、和睦互助的道德素质。促进农村科学发展奠定道德素质提升的坚实物质基础，督促农村党员干部和乡村教师率先垂范成为道德示范样板，创新道德教育形式养成良好道德习惯，健全完善约束机制规范塑造农民道德素质，应当成为实现农民道德素质从传统到现代提升的有效路径选择。The construction of new villages will bring profound historical changes to China in the 21th century. These changes require complete progress of the village people, especially the ethical promotion such as love of the country, the observation of the law, the esteem of science, the civilization of the action, industry in getting rich, honesty and credibility, treasure of the farmland, the idea of economy and reasonable consumption, respect for the old and affection for the young, orientation of harmony and mutual-help, etc.. During the process, the scientific development lays solid foundation for the ethical promotion. The Party members, cadres and the village teachers will be urged to set good moral examples. The ethical education mode will be innovated for good habits. The inhibition mechanism will be consummated to train the farmers. All these surely will turn out to be effective measures to enabled the farmers to be modernized.
