论福克纳笔下的妇女形象

摘　　要：福克纳在他的作品中塑造了众多的妇女形象,这些妇女性格差别显著,个性鲜明突出,显示出福克纳对妇女命运的深切关注。福克纳对女性的态度却是极其复杂矛盾的,他对女人既尊敬、赞美、爱慕又憎厌、鄙视、恐惧,既同情她们不幸的命运,又批评她们乖谬的行为,在他心目中女人既是纯洁的天使,又是害人的妖女,美国南方特殊历史文化传统,清教主义思想,南方的妇道观都影响了他对妇女的态度。Faulkner,who paid much attention to women＇ s fate, created in his novels a large number of women characters who had different character and distinct personality. However, Faulkner＇ s attitude toward women was complicated and self-contradictory：He respected, praised and admired women on the one hand, but hated, despised and feared women on the other hand;He showed sympathy for their unfortunate fate, but criticised them for their absurd behavior; In his eyes they were both pure angels and alluring women who brought harm to people. The special historical and cultural tradition of south America, the ideology of puritanism and conception of women in the South together affected Faulkner＇ s attitude toward women.
