国际大都市与世界一流大学的互动发展——以纽约市为例

摘　　要：本文以纽约市为例,分析国际大都市与世界一流大学互动发展的经验。分析发现,国际大都市通过倡导院校"合作"、"互动"之理念来建设多元化、具有规模优势的高等教育系统,并通过促进一流学科建设及重点投入高水平大学,加快世界一流大学的建设;世界一流大学则通过智力支撑、知识创新与技术转移及与经济发展相适应的学科专业,有效提升国际大都市的核心竞争力。本文认为,上海在打造国际大都市和建设世界一流大学过程中可借鉴纽约市的经验。Taking New York City as an example, the paper analyzes the experience of the interactive development between international metropolises and the world-class universities. We find that such cities adopt a series of measures to develop world-class universities, such as advocating for cooperation and collaboration between universities, developing diversified and efficient large-scale higher education systems, sponsoring excellence in specific disciplines and focusing investment in high-quality universities. At the same time, world-class universities enhance the city＇s development by intellectual support, knowledge innovation and technology transfer, and the subject structure oriented to the economic development. From this analysis of New York City, this article suggests possible mechanisms for developing world-class universities and a flourishing metropolis in the city of Shanghai.
