摘　　要：大学文化是高等学校的"校魄",是立校之本、强校之宝。本文从民办高校的民营性质、举办者素质、体制机制以及教师、学生等层面,分析了民办高校文化建设的背景、基础以及影响因素和制约因素。作者主张,民办高校应结合自身实际,继承我国私立大学的优良传统,弘扬"为国兴学、公益奉献、不畏艰辛、敢于创新、诚实守信"的文化精神。College culture is the spirit of Universities, which is the basement and trump of all kids of schools. This article tries to analyze the background, foundation, influencing and restraining factors of culture construction in non-governmental universities from the aspects of private nature, sponsors＂ qualities, system mechanism and teachers. The author advocates that non-governmental universities should combine with their present practices, inherit the fine tradition of Chinese non-governmental universities and carry forward the culture spirit of ＂setting up schools for our country, commonweal and dedication, defying the hardships, presuming to create, being honest and keeping faith＂.
