摘　　要：哀牢山是云南省最主要的山系，起于大理州，止于红河州南部。这条绵延近千公里的天南巨龙是云责高原与横断山脉两大地貌区的地理分界线，也是云贵高原温暖气候的天然屏障。衷牢山主峰海拔3166米，其自然保护区的核心位于新平县与景东、镇沅、楚雄、双柏等五县交界处，这里是傣、哈尼、彝、苗、壮等少数民族的快乐家园。1992年，哀牢山被联合国定为“人与生物圈”定位观察点，因为这里是世界上同纬度生物多样化、同类型植物群落保留最完整的地区。Ailao Mountain is the main range in Yunnan Province, extending from Dali Prefecture to southern Honghe Prefecture. This natural dragon expanding for nearly thousand kilometers is the geographical boundary of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and Hengduan Mountains as well as a natural shield for the mild climate of Yunan- Guizhou Plateau, The height of its main summit is 3166 meters. The core area of this natural reserve covers the adjacent areas of Xinping County, Jingdong County, Zhenyuan County, Chuxiong County and Shuangbo County, where is a merry homeland for Dai people, Hani people, Yi people, Miao people, Zhuang people and other minorities. In 1992, Ailao Mountain was designated as the fixed watchpoint of ＂human and biosphere＂ by the United Nations, for it is the most well preserved area in respect of biology diversity at the same latitude and botanical colony of the same species.
