摘　　要：本文对石油地质专业英语的词汇教学做了探讨。专业词汇教学是保证专业英语教学顺利进行的关键。词汇教学可以采取各种不同的教学方法和手段。笔者在石油地质类专业英语教学实践中,尝试了几种石油地质专业词汇教学的方法:引入构词法、形意法和对比法词汇教学;通过翻译进行词汇教学;结合上下文语境讲解词汇。This paper probes into some effective methods of conducting petroleum geology vocabulary teaching in colleges and universities of petroleum. In the process of professional English teaching,it is of vital importance for the students to grasp as many technical terms as possible. Based on his own teaching experience,the author proposes three methods for petroleum vocabulary teaching,namely,the explanation of word -formation,vocabulary translation and the context analysis.
