摘　　要：公共艺术选修课是实施素质教育的重要环节,是培养医学专业学生良好的职业道德和人文精神的有效途径。目前,医学院校公共艺术选修课的课程设置、师资力量,特别是教学管理与上级的要求还存在较大差距,必须进一步加强和改进,要逐步建立科学完善的管理体制和课程体系,切实提高公共艺术选修课的教学质量。Public art electives courses are the key link for carrying out quality-oriented education and also an effective means of cultivating medical students＇ professionalism and humanistic spirit. There is a gap between curriculum setup, teacher resources, especially the gap between teaching administration and the authorities＇ requirements. It will be very necessary to establish a scientific and perfect administration mechanism and cur- ricular system so as to improve the quality of public art course teaching.
