摘　　要：2009年12月11日上午10时05分，著名建筑学家、建筑师和建筑教育家，中国现代建筑奠基人、中国城市规划专业与风景园林专业创始人，同济大学教授、建筑与城市规划学院名誉院长冯纪忠先生因肺炎医治无效，于上海逝世，享年95岁。On December 11, 2009, Mr. Feng Jizhong, the famous architectural scholar, architect and architectural educator, died at the age of 94. China loses a master who can integrate Chinese and Western style, perforate the past and the present, and achieve architectural and cultural heritage and content innovation.Feng Jizhong was the founder of China’s modern architecture and the initiator of urban planning specialty and landscape architecture specialty in China. He taught students in Tongji University for more than 60 years and cultivated and infiuenced several generations of architects, urban planners, and landscape architects who become the core force of the building industry in China. He persevered his architectural concept for several decades as if it were one day and he said that all buildings should serve the citizens.
