摘　　要：伴随经济全球化和高等教育大众化的深入推进，高等教育逐步走进经济社会发展的中心，同时，社会对高校培养的人才在数量和质量上都提出了更高的期待。在这种情况下，高校特别是地方普通高校，如何把握高等教育的发展趋势，科学定位，突出办学特色，走个性化发展之路，拓展生存与发展空间，培育核心竞争力，已经成为高校管理者必须认真思考的问题。西华师范大学正致力于成为四川经济建设和社会发展的人才库、文化库和智力库，培养德、智、体、关全面发展的具有创新精神和实践能力的高素质基础教育教师和其他应用型人才，逐步建成具有一流学科专业、多学科协调发展的现代化教师教育为特色的综合性教学研究型师范大学。The higher education is getting into the center of economic and social development with the economic globalization and promote the popularization of higher education in-depth. The community set higher expectations both in terms of quantity and quality in college-trained people. How to understand the development trend of higher education, scientific orientation, highlighting school characteristics, take personal development path, develop sur- vival and expand space, enhance core competitiveness, has become administrators in local colleges and universities must seriously consider. China West Normal University is committed to becoming the economic construction and so- cial development of the talent pool, cultural and intellectual base library, cultivating moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic development of an innovative spirit and practical ability of high-quality basic education teachers and other application-oriented personnel. Gradually, building up a first-class disciplines of professional, multidiscipli- nary and coordinated development of teacher education for the characteristics of a modern integrated teaching and research normal university.
