摘　　要：1937年由宇宙风社出版的《某国人在中国》,是考察中日大战爆发前中国民众对日认识的一个透视镜。书中收录了当年中国各地民众评论日本人的文章20篇,用亲身经历记述了他们的丑行。透过该书可以看到中日两国由冲突走向战争的进程中,中国民众的情绪由积淀到升温的过程,可以为探讨大战爆发原因,获得一种历史的参照和见证。笔者认为,当代中日纠纷的核心,在于历史认识的差异。而当代中国人的对日认识,与战前不可分割,是一种因果和链接关系。因此,在历史语境和文化语境中考察战前中国民众对日认识的形成过程、主要特征,对于解释当代中国人的对日态度,具有追根朔源的意义。就今天谈今天,有时会陷入表象的干扰,在政治和意识形态的怪圈中徘徊,难以接近事物的本质。《某国人在中国》,在一定程度上反映了20世纪30年代中国民众对日认识的一个层面,具有重要的参考价值。A Man of a Certain Country in China published by Cosmic Wind Press in 1937 is a good book for us to acquire the Chinese people＇s views on Japan before the Anti-Japanese War. The book collected 20 essays written by people from different places of China, recording their witnesses and experiences of the notorious offenses committed by the Japanese soldiers. A careful reading of this book will show us how China and Japan changed into a war from mutual conflicts and how this national emotion ran from endurance to a heated resentment during that historical period. The book thus provided reasons for the outbreak of the war and was taken to be a certain historical testimony. We believe that the Sino- Japanese controversy at present partly lies in Chinese people＇s attitude towards Japan and the formation of this attitude hangs over from the people＇s pre-war views. So a survey of Chinese people＇s attitude toward Japan from a historical and cultural perspective is highly instructive for us to understand the roots of this emotional attitude. Talking about today for its own sake often leads to a bewilderment. Excessive discussion on political and ideological controversy cannot seize hold of the nature of things. A Man of a Certain Country in China offers an important angle for understanding the Chinese people＇s views of Japan, hence worth reading.
