浅谈英汉词汇比较——注意英汉语言中的“真假朋友”现象

摘　　要：本文就中国学生在阅读和翻译外国作品时,常发现英语中有些成语和词组,在汉语里能找到相对应的词语和说法,在翻译时可直接互相借用。但由于英语和汉语是两种不同的语言,分属两个不同的语系,其表达方式和修辞习惯有所不同,有的意思却迥然不同。据此,特别要注意英汉语言中的"真假朋友"现象。This paper explores the comparison between Chinese and English vocabulary. We often find that there are some English phrases or idioms, which have their equivalents in Chinese language. However, English and Chinese languages belong to two different language systems. In most cases, their expressions and rhetorics are totally different, and so are their meanings. Hence we must pay particular attention to the ＂true or false friends＂ phenomenon in the English and Chinese languages.
