冯友兰英译《庄子》之义理源流——以《逍遥游》为例

摘　　要：冯友兰的《庄子》英译本是第一部由中国人翻译的译本。也是第一部强调庄子哲学的译本。该译本的主要特点是在英译《庄子》原文后,译有相应的郭象注,并有译者自注。考察译本的过程中,我们发现译本并没有区分庄子和郭象的哲学思想,没有着意分析庄子哲学与郭象的《庄子注》在哲学思想上的分歧,而是以郭象的注解为基础去理解庄子哲学的。英译本的多处表达更接近郭象义理。郭象注的先入为主,影响到冯友兰对庄周原作的理解。所以我们可以说冯友兰的《庄子》英译本字句取自庄周,而义理却承袭于郭象。Fung Yu - lan＇s English translation of Chuangtzu is the first version completed by a Chinese. It is also the first English version that claims to emphasize Chuangtzu＇s philosophy. However, Fung bases his understanding of Chuangtzu＇s philosophy on Kuo Hsiang＇s comments. In Fung＇s translation, he hasn＇t dis- tinguished the divergence of the two philo^phies, instead his translation was influenced lay Kuo Hsiang＇s com- ments on Chuang- tzu. So the words of this translation take after Chung - tzu, while the philosophy inherited that of Kuo Hsiang.
