利用英汉平行语料库调查“使”的英译

摘　　要：基于北京外国语大学通用英汉平行语料,运用自行编写的检索软件得到以"使"为关键词的汉英平行索引,并应用中国科学院的在线双语句对语料库搜索以"使"为关键词的汉英平行索引。根据这两种语料库得到的索引例子对"使"的各种英译方法进行了分析和归类,得到了六种新的"使"的翻译方法。在调查分析过程中发现,基于平行语料库的新的研究方法可以更全面、客观、有效地得到"使"的各种英译方法,值得推广。The paper reexamines the various English translations of a Chinese common wor＂Shi＂by using a new and efficient tool - the E＆C parallel corpus. Based on the data from the E＆C parallel corpus developed by Beijing Foreign Studies University and the online E＆C parallel corpus developed by Chinese Academy of Sciences, by analyzing and classifying the data containing the Chinese word ＂Shi＂, we obtain six new translation methods of＂Shi＂. The new method based on parallel corpus offers more comprehensive and objective findings than the traditional subjective analysis.
