摘　　要：1905年的科举改革是晚清政府的重要政治举措,以江苏盐城县的士绅文人为研究对象,通过考察废科举前后他们命运和思想的变化,以及他们或抱残守缺,或重修新学,或走向革命的人生道路选择,再现了清末民初盐城社会中纷繁复杂的一面。The reform of abolishing the imperial examinations in 1905 was one of the important political measures taken by the Late Qing government. This article tried to look into the poets and literary men in ancient Yancheng, the changes of their destiny and thoughts before and after the abolished imperial examinations. Some of them were obstinate, some of them began to relearn or went to the road towards the revolution in life. The numerous and complicated Yancheng society in late Qing and early Min＇guo was vividly displayed.
