摘　　要：《实用旅游英语》教材内容设计需考虑三个因素:高职高专教育的特点、我国旅游业发展现状、作为语言类教学本身的特征。教材内容设计要遵循五条原则:实用性、时效性、典型性、系统性、趣味性。只有在此基础上,教材编写者方可确定《实用旅游英语》教材内容设计的基本构想。There are three factors should be considered for the content design of teaching material Practical Tourism English ： the characteristics of higher vocational education, the status of Chinese tourism industry, and characters as the language teaching itself. Five principles should be followed also： practicality, timeliness, typicality, systematization, and interestingness. On this basis, this essay proposes basic ideas for content design of Practical Tourism English.
