Comparison of Smoking Status Between Students from Beijing and Other Regions Sampled from 10 Universities

摘　　要：目的了解北京生源与外地生源大学生吸烟现状之间的差异,为制定可行的学校控烟措施提供参考。方法采用分层整群抽样的方法,抽取北京市10所高校大学生3509名(北京生源1596名,外地生源1913名)进行问卷调查。结果尝试吸烟率北京生源男生(50.74%)低于外地生源男生(55.46%),差异有统计学意义(χ2=4.192,P=0.041);北京生源女生(21.03%)与外地生源女生(23.06%)差异无统计学意义(χ2=0.963,P=0.327)。现在吸烟率北京生源男、女生(20.10%,4.87%)与外地生源男、女生(22.13%,5.10%)间差异均无统计学意义(χ2=1.151,P=0.283;χ2=0.043,P=0.836)。北京生源学生初次吸完一整支烟的年龄要迟于外地生源。北京生源学生吸烟数量高于外地生源学生。结论应从小学开始开展控烟工作,降低儿童青少年尝试吸烟率。Objective To acknowledge the differences on smoking behavior between students from Beijing and other regions and to provide reference for the possible measure of smoking cessation. Methods By stratified cluster sampling method,3 509 college students（1 596 from Beijing,1 913 from other regions） were sampled from 10 universities to attend a questionnaire survey. Results The rate of attempting smoking among male students from Beijing （50.74%） was obviously lower than the rate among male students from other regions（55.46%）. There was no obviously difference （χ2=0.963,P=0.327） between the attempting smoking rate of female students from Beijing （21.03%） and that rate of female students from other regions（23.06%）. The difference was not obviously （χ2=1.151,P=0.283;χ2=0.043,P=0.836） between the rate of smoking among both male and female students from Beijing region （20.10%,4.87%） and that rate among male and female students from other regions （22.13%,5.10%）. Students from other regions started to smoke their first cigarette earlier than students from Beijing region. There was a higher quantity on smoking among students from Beijing region than others. Conclusion The smoking cessation work should be carried out widely as regular working,especially in primary school.
