In the early 21st century,China’s animal novels of real ecological significance are launched in literary circles in clustertype, such as Jia Pingwa’s Yearning for the Wolf,Jiang Rong’s Wolf Totem,Yang Zhijun’s Tibetan Mastiff,Li Kewei’s Chinese Tiger, etc. These novels all express a new kind of ecological ethics: we should not simply regard animals as "others"different from human beings, and decide their fate with a condescending air from people’s real interests demand, but should consider them as indispensable members in nature which have life as human beings and need for equal treatment. The novels construct a series of ecological disaster imagery, warning people to care for nature and love of animals.Meanwhile, the novels evoke our reflection on the weakening and loss of human nature in the display of primitive wild life forms such as wolves, mastiff, tigers and other natural.
