摘　　要：针对现有元数据解决方案的不足,设计了一种基于Web服务的元数据体系。该体系采用XML/RDF技术和Web服务技术,用Web元数据资源来准确描述各类信息资源,并封装成Web服务,用户通过调用Web服务实现对元数据的使用。该体系旨在解决在信息资源系统中多种元数据并存的情况下所存在的互操作问题,实现多个信息资源系统之间的无缝连接,为用户提供一个统一、透明、高效的信息检索平台。A metadata architecture based on Web service is designed in order to overcome the deficiency of existing metadata solutions. Using the XML/RDF technique and Web service technique,the idea of the architecture is that Web metadata resource is applied to describe precisely every kinds of information resources and is encapsulated in the Web service at first,and then the users access the metadata by calling Web services. The purpose of the architecture is to solve the problems about metadata interoperations among all kinds of metadata in the information resources systems,realize the seamless connection among information resources systems and provide an information retrieval platform with characteristic of unity,transparency and high efficiency.
