The optimum extraction conditions of microwave technology were studied for the triterpenoid saponins from Ganaderma lucidum. The extraction parameters as ethanol concentration, extraction time, extraction power, the ratio of water to sample and the temperature of extraction were optimized based on single-factor experiment and three-level fourfactor box-behnken design.According to response surface software regression analysis, the result showed that the optimum conditions were as follows, the concertration ethanol 75%,extraction temperature 75 ℃,extraction power 870 W,ratio of water to sample 33 mL/g,extraction time 17min.The average yield rate of triterpenoid saponins from Ganoderma lucidum was 1.043% with high stability, and one-time extraction was up to 93%.Compared with non-microwave extraction, the triterpenoid saponins exaction rate was up 150% by microwave technology. The ultrasound extraction rate was only 72% of microwave exaction rate under same condition. The heat reflux extraction rate and lixiviation were 86% and 63% of microwave exaction rate respectively. It was concluded that microwave extraction had several remarkable advantages as the shorter extraction time, the less solvent, the higher extraction rate.
