及物动词何以“无宾自足”?——构式语法及语用学视角下的理据探寻

摘　　要：以构式语法观点为导向,考察及物物动词隐宾句式相关维面,挖掘隐宾句式固有意义,探究其语用因素,指出:及物动词之所以删隐宾语,是因为宾语名词丧失指称功能,改变了身份,语篇凸显度降低,由话题成分变为非话题成分退出了焦点位置。隐宾有时源于礼貌策略,而更多则为语言经济原则使然。To the English objectless transitive construction, it is appropriate to take a construction grammar approach and a multi-perspective for a thorough investigation of both the construction meaning and the relevant pragmatic factors. Object omission results from the loss of the object＇ s referential function and the change of its status ; accordingly the low discourse prominence causes it to leave the focus through transition from the topical to the non-topical element. Objectless transitives are motivated by the Economy Principle in Language and the Politeness Strategy as well.
