摘　　要：美国作为西方发达国家,不仅在经济、军事等方面领先于世界,而且在终身教育的推进与发展方面也走在了世界的前列,形成了鲜明的特色。其终身教育特色如下:注重终身教育立法;大力提供终身教育经费保障;终身教育机构多元化;终身教育方式灵活多样;终身教育手段现代化。借鉴美国终身教育的经验,对于促进我国终身教育的发展具有重要的意义。As an developed country, America not only is the leader in economic, military and other aspects in the world, but also walks in the forefront of the world in promoting lifelong education, forming distinct features. The features of American lifelong education are as follows： focusing on lifelong education legislation; vigorously providing lifelong education funding guarantees; diversifying lifelong education institutions; flexible and various lifelong education mode; modernizing lifelong education. It is important to promote the development of lifelong education in our country and to learn from the experience of American lifelong education.
