摘　　要：梅契尼科夫在追溯中胚层的起源时,以生存竞争解释吞噬细胞吞噬机体衰老和死亡组织功能的获得。进而将这一发现推广到病理学和免疫学领域,指出吞噬细胞是炎症和免疫的原因。该理论的提出过程是科学问题和科学假说引导科学研究的典型案例。E. Metchnikoff proposed the theory of parenchymella to explain the origin of the phagocytes and reveal the physiological meaning that phagocytes devour the old and death tissues or cells. Then he extended the theory to pathology and immunology and claimed the reason of inflammation and immunity were phagocytes devouring and digesting foreign matters and microorganism. The proposing of the theory of phagocytes is a typical case that science problems and hypothesis lead the research.
