Whether low doses of internally deposited 147Pm could change the radiation damage effects of blood and bone marrow cells in mice to subsequent high doses of internally deposited 147Pm was studied.Kunming male mice were injected at4/9tail vein with low doses of 147Pm(NO3)3 of 0\^37,3\^7 and 37 Bq/g body weight.Three days later4/9the mice were injected with high/9doses of 147 Pm(NO3)3 of 18\^5 kBq/g body weight. The animals were sacrificed at 24 hrs.after the injection of high doses of 5147 Pm(NO3)3.The results showed that the blood and bone marrow cells exposed to 0\^37-37 Bq/g of 147 Pm produced an adaptive response,i\^e\^ the blood cells and bone marrow cells showed an obvious resistance to the radiation damages induced by high does of internally deposited 147 Pm.The blood lymphocytes count increased significantly( P <0\^05 or WTBXP <0\^01),and the chromosome aberration frequency of the bone marrow cells decreased significantly( P <0\^05)in comparing with pure high doses of the 147 Pm injection group. The blood lymphocytes count and the chromosome aberration frequency of the bone marrow cells showed no statistical difference in comparing with the controls( P <0\^05). At the same time, the mechanism of the adaptive response induced by internally deposited radionuclide was preliminarily analyzed.
