摘　　要：中国第四纪冰川研究历史是一个漫长的百家争鸣的历史.李四光教授生前曾致力于中国第四纪冰川研究.其成果后来集于《中国第四纪冰川》(科学出版社)与《李四光全集》(第二卷,湖北人民出版社)之中.他与当时一些中外反对派进行了有理有据的辩论,也得到一些中外学者的赞同.基本上得出了肯定的结论.建国后又一再时起时伏引起了不少人争鸣.最近一些新的研究成果迭出,很有再一次论述其分布与冰川类型的必要,如极大陆型冰川、亚大陆型冰川、极海洋型冰川、亚海洋型冰川等等.Prof. Li Siguang （J S Lee） was devoted to Quaternary glaciation research in China during his lifetime. His research results has been listed into ＂China Quaternary Glaciation （glacial）＂ ＆ ＂Li Siguang Complete Wroks＂. At that time he held a reasoned debate with the opposing scholars both at home and abroad and his glacial theory was basically gained acceptance. After the founding of the People＇s republic of China, his glacial theory gave rise to a considerable debate again. With the emergence of some new recent research results, it is very necessary to discuss the distribution and types of Quaternary glaciers in China Types： extreme continental glacier.Sub-Contimental glacier extreme marine glacier.Sub-marine glacier.
