摘 要:1920年代后期,由余上沅、赵太侔、闻一多、徐志摩、张嘉铸、熊佛西、梁实秋等人倡导的"国剧运动"不到两年即宣告终结。一个有着崇高的目标和可行的操作方案的"国剧运动"何以遭遇"滑铁卢"?本文从其理论本身、中国的政治社会文化环境、普通群众的现实生存状态、成熟戏剧的诸条件等各方面进行分析,指出"国剧运动"的失败不是偶然的,"不逢其时"正是其命运的写照。但是,这遮掩不了其理论的精华和独特价值所在,它提供给后世以丰富的营养和不竭的前进动力。Why did the National Drama Movement, a campaign launched and advocated by the prominent cultural figures in the late 1920s, which was well targeted and operative, die out after only two short years? This paper tries to find out the reasons that may be inherent to the theory of the Movement, its political and socio-cultural environment, the real existence of the population, and the developmental stage of drama. The author points out that the Movement was doomed as it was born untimely. However, its theory is unique and invaluable for the later theatrical development.
