摘　　要：语言是文化的载体,由于中英文化的不同,英语学习者在使用英语中会出现一些跨文化语用失误。要想避免这些失误,必须了解英语国家的社会文化及语言中的习惯表达方式。Language is the carrier of culture. Chinese culture and English culture are different, therefore English learners will meet pragmatic failure in using it especially in translation. It seems more important to understand another country＇s culture and the native speakers＂ expressions in order to avoid these pragmatic failures.
