摘 要:Maxwel方程组是否适用于电磁脉冲在损耗介质中的传播是个有争议的问题,H.F.Harmuth在他的书中持完全否定的态度。我们从经典的Maxwel方程出发,利用时域有限差分法在二维和三维空间模拟了电和磁阶跃电磁脉冲激励的平面电磁波在损耗介质中的传播,并与Harmuth书中所给的算例进行了比较,在极限情况下二者符合得很好。这说明Harmuth只是给出了一种电磁脉冲在捐耗介质中传播问题的解题方法,而不能否定Maxwel方程的适用性。About the suitability of the Maxwell Equations for the propagation of the electromagnetic pulse in the lossy medium, that is a disputed problem.H.F.Harmuth adopted a negative attitude shown in his book.In this paper, from the classical Maxwell equations, the propagation of plane electromagnetic wave, excited by the electric or magnetic step pulse in two and three dimension lossy medium are simulated by using the FDTD method. And the results are compared with the example calculated by Harmuth.It was showed that under the limit condition, its are coincident well.Harmuth only gave one method to solve the propagation problem of the EM pulse in the lossy medium.But the suitability of Maxwell equations for the EM pulse in the lossy medium can′t be denied.In this paper, it proved that the Maxwell equation can be used in the propagation of the EM pulse in the lossy medium.
