摘　　要：1981年4月,Fadell提出了曲面自映射提升的Reidemeister迹的一个公式,没有给出证明。本文给出了Fadell公式的证明。构造出上述自映射的一个特殊的胞腔式逼近,并应用群环的Fox运算的性质。Fadell proposed without proof a formula of the Reidmeister trace of the covering mapping of closed surface in April, 1981 - The proof of the Fa-dell's formula is given . The author in proving the formula constructs a particular cellular approximation of the selfmapping mentioned above and applies the property of the Fox calculus of the group ring .
