摘　　要：证人证言不受重视,证人虚假陈述多,这一现象严重制约了我国法治进程的发展,因而近年来,司法界、理论界呼吁建立我国证人宣誓制度。通过分析西方国家证人宣誓制度的形成和发展,揭示证人宣誓制度在西方国家建立的根本原因,并对比我国法制基础资源,从历史文化背景、法律制度方面论述了我国目前建立证人宣誓制度的时机并不成熟的原因。The testimony of witnesses is generally ignored, witness＇ s false statements is comparatively more, which seriously hampers the development process of China＇ s rule of law, and therefore calls for the establishment of the system of witness oath. Based on the analysis of the formation of the witness oath and development of the system in western countries, it reveals the root causes of the system of witness oath in west countries. And compared with our basic legal resources, historical and cultural background, legal system, which explained why the introduction of the witness oath is not mature in the current legal system in China.
