A Probe into the Formal Methodolgy in Generative Grammar

摘　　要：主要从元理论角度把生成语法作为一个抽象的形式系统加以考察,重点在于以下三方面:"一个怎样设定的形式系统"、"这样设定的性质是什么"和"有什么方法论问题"。本文简要回顾了第三次数学危机,并观察了其对生成语法形式方法论的影响。笔者认为语言学家不必抱有对生成语法在研究人类语言官能,探索句法作为语言计算过程的机制上,存在数学与逻辑系统中那些困难的疑虑。This paper meta-theoretically studied Generative Grammar（GG） as an abstract formal system,mainly for three concerned aspects： how is the formal system set？ What is the formal system like？ Is there any methodological problem？ The paper briefed the third mathematical crisis,and inspected its influence on the formal method in generative grammar.The author holds that it is unnecessary for linguists to harbor the qualms about GG for those difficulties occurring in mathematics and logic.
