摘　　要：英语非限定动词构式的基础表达是述谓结构;该构式体现了语义自治。非限定动词构式的本质是句子中的从属性,这种从属性不破坏述谓结构的完整性;该构式的时段体现了与主述谓结构的关系,其语态体现了述谓结构中与谓词相关的论元之间的句法呈现竞争。没有语义结构的映射,非限定动词构式只会是一堆杂乱无章毫无意义的符号。The non-finite structuring in English is based on its related predication which represents a proposition.From the cognitive perspective,semantic autonomy is embedded in non-finite structuring in English.The syntactic essence of such structuring consists in sentential subordination,which,however,keeps the predication intact.The temporary phase in non-finite structuring displays its relationship to its matrix predication,and that the voice in non-finite structuring results from the semantic competition for the logical subject between the relevant semantic roles.In this sense,without the semantic mapping,a syntactic form like non-finite structuring is nothing but a cluster of meaningless signs.Thus,the semantic structure is the core of the syntactic structure.
