从“原型范畴化”理论看介词“with”的空间隐喻拓展

摘　　要：文章在原型范畴化理论的指导下,以隐喻为认知支点,对英语介词"with"的空间隐喻进行认知解读:介词"with"是以"空间"的原型语义为认知参照点,通过隐喻这一认知机制,实现其语义从空间概念向其他非空间域映射而产生的引申义,即从空间域拓展到时间域、状态域、范围域、原因域、方式/工具域、态度域、比较域以及其他域。The spatial metaphor of English preposition ＂with＂is analyzed from the perspective of prototype categorization theory with metaphor as cognitive instrument.it is concluded that the semantic meaning of＂with＂develops gradually from the cognitive reference of spatial prototype to other non-spatial domains with the mapping of metaphor.The mapping extends from the domain of space to that of time,state,scope,reason,manner or instrument,attitude,comparison and other domains.
