摘 要:Objective: To explore the correlation between erythrocyte deformability and the activity of Ca 2+ dependent protease(calpain) in aging erythrocyte. Methods: The erythrocyte filtration index(EFI), calpain and Ca 2+ ATPase activities, and the content of spectrin(SP) were determined respectively in young and aged erythrocyte of 42 healthy subjects by using the erythrocyte deformability apparatus, spectrophotometry and gel electrophoretic analysis. Results: The EFI and the activity of calpain were significantly higher, the activity of Ca 2+ ATPase and the relative content of SP in erythrocyte membrane were significantly lower in aged erythrocytes than those in young( P all < 0.001 ). The EFI was positively correlated with calpain activity in aged erythrocyte( r = 0.627 , P < 0.001 ), negatively correlated with Ca 2+ ATPase activity and SP relative content( r = -0.505 , -0.611 , P < 0.001 ). The erythrocyte membrane Ca 2+ ATPase activity and SP relative content were negatively correlated with the calpain activity( r = -0.614 , -0.592 , P < 0.001 ). Conclusion: The decrease of aged erythrocyte deformability was closely related to the hemolysis and degradation of erythrocyte membrane skeleton proteins caused by the increase of calpain activity in aged erythrocytes.Objective: To explore the correlation between erythrocyte deformability and the activity of Ca 2+ dependent protease(calpain) in aging erythrocyte.
