摘　　要：通过对湘西南苗族"平话"词汇变异的社会语言学调查发现:年龄是制约湘西南苗族平话词汇变异的最重要的社会因素,也是导致词汇丢失、引发语言结构衰退的重要因素。The sociolinguistics inquiry and study on the vocabulary variation of Pinghua used by the Miao nationality in the southwest of Hunan province showed that age is a very important social factor which restrict the vocabulary variation of Pinghua used by the Miao nationality in the southwest of Hunan,and also lead to some vocabulary loss and cause the decay of language construction.
