汉英交替传译中学生译员口译困难的原因及教学启示

摘  要:口译课程的教学目标是培养学生的口译能力,使其成为合格的译员。本研究以31名英语专业的学生译员为研究对象,从译员的口译能力角度研究汉英交替传译中造成学生译员口译困难的原因,探讨其口译能力中有待加强的部分。研究结果表明:学生译员口译困难主要是由智力因素造成,非智力因素只占较小比例。在智力因素方面:就语言能力而言,英语词汇量和汉语长句英译为主要因素;就口译技能而言,口译笔记的记录和阅读,记忆和数字英译等方面是主要因素;知识能力几乎没有造成口译困难。在非智力因素方面:与身体素质和职业素质相比,心理素质为最主要的影响因素。本研究旨在为完善今后的口译教学,更好地发展学生的口译能力作出有意义的探索。Consecutive Interpretation aims at training students’interpreting competence.This study chose 31 English-majored students as the participants.By studying students interpreters’interpreting difficulties in C-E consecutive interpreting,and adopting the methods of interview and stimulated recall protocol,the paper tries to address the questions: How the deficiency of student interpreters’interpreting competence cause the interpreting difficulties? The study indicates:(1) mental factors are the major causes while the non-mental factors are the minor ones;(2) among the mental factors,as far as the languages are concerned,the mastery of English vocabulary and the transference of long Chinese sentences into English are the most important causes,and in terms of skills,note-taking,note-reading,memory and numbers are the major factors,while knowledge ranks behind language and skills in importance;(3) among the non-mental factors,psychology qualities play the most important part.It is hoped that the results of this study may benefit CI training.
