摘　　要：本文对西方科学学术界和出版界围绕复合式论文标题展开的争论做了简要述评,结合近年来语言学领域对论文标题的研究成果,探讨了这场争论背后所隐含的跨学科和跨语类问题,并对我国学者的英文标题撰写、汉语论文标题的翻译和科技期刊对标题写作的政策等问题提出意见和建议,以期对我国期刊中的论文标题使用有所借鉴。This paper reviews the debate over the popularity of the compound research article tides in academic journals and studies of the research article tides in the field of English for Specific Purposes. The cross-disciplinary and cross-generic issues concerning the debate are discussed and their implications are proposed for research article title translation and writing and journal policy about article titles.
