摘　　要：多媒体信息可以使GIS能更加直观和形象地表达地理信息,增强GIS的表现力。在GIS中充分发挥多媒体信息的优势,需要建立一种有效的多媒体信息存储和管理方法。为此,对文件系统、多媒体属性库、多媒体数据库等常见的多媒体信息存储管理方式进行了对比研究,分析了不同方法的优缺点,为GIS系统中存储和管理多媒体信息提供参考。Multimedia information makes GIS can express geographic information more intuitively and visually, which enhances the expressive ability of GIS. In order to give full play to the advantages of multimedia information in GIS, it is needed to establish an effective multimedia information storage and management method. Therefore we make a comparative study on common multimedia information storage and management methods such as file system, multimedia property database and multimedia database, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of different methods, which provides a reference for multimedia information storage and management in GIS system.
