三峡古诗中地名特点和英译研究

摘　　要：三峡因特殊的地理和历史背景,在古诗中经常出现。三峡古诗中的地名不仅体现了地域性,更寓含了丰富的历史文化和象征性。如果仅是从译法上研究,恐是难以历数。但地名属于专有名词,如果从可否译成专用名词来看的话,地名的英译就清晰地分为了四种情况:译成专有名词、译成普通名词、译成不对等的专有名词、原诗中的地名在译文中不出现。Due to the Three Gorges’ unique geographical and historical background,the place names in Three Gorges ancient poems not merely symbolize the geographical places,but also contain abundant historical and cultural connotation.If they are studied from the perspective of translation methods,the methods cannot be completely included and named.But if they are approached from the perspective of proper nouns,into which place names are classified,the translation of place names can only and clearly fall into 4 situations： place names into proper names,into common nouns,into proper names which are not totally equal to the original names,and the last is the case in which the place names are omitted in translated poems.
